A 40-year-old laborer in Bukidnon was arrested by authorities for illegal possession of drugs in a buy-bust operation today.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the suspect as Winnie Richard Nisnisan, married, and a resident of Purok 6, Poblacion Sur, Don Carlos of the said province.
He was arrested at 1:30 am, Monday at the said place by joint personnel assigned at Don Carlos Municipal Police Station together with Police Intelligence Unit Bukidnon; Provincial Police Office, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-10, and 2nd Bukidnon Police Mobile Force Company.
Recovered from the suspect were five sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P10,000, a P500 buy-bust money, some personal belongings, and P250 personal cash money.
The suspect’s driven motorcycle ― STX color black, without a plate number, was also impounded.
The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Don Carlos police headquarter for proper disposition.
The confiscated drug will be brought to Police’s Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for quantitative and qualitative examination.
While a criminal complaint about the violation of Republic Act 9165 known as the Anti-Dangerous Drug Act is now being prepared against the suspect.
