NORTHERN Mindanao social welfare and development department is eyeing to finish the database of 856,959 poor families under Listahanan 3 by the end of this year, said in a press statement Tuesday.
To update the existing data of the poorest households in the country, the DSWD-10 targeted to complete the assessment, validation, and encoding of poor families in the region for Listahanan 3 by the end of this year.
"Ang target nga mahuman ang assessment, validation ug encoding is by the end of this year. Mga 16.1 million target sa tibuok Pilipinas, 856,959 families sa Region 10. Muabot na sa 892,815 ang naassess sa DSWD-10," said DSWD-10 information officer Charmaine Tadlas during the Normin COVID-19 Response Task Force Press Conference on Oct. 13.

The information officer added that the enumerators will interview the head of the family to obtain their profile including their educational attainment and family situation.
The enumerator will also obtain information as to the members of the family who belong to the vulnerable sector such as the senior citizens, persons with a disability, and solo parents.
For those who are not available during the assessment, Tadlas said the families could use the On-Demand application and they will just wait for the date and time that will be scheduled by DSWD-10 for assessment.
Tadlas stressed that the On-Demand app will only be available for use after the completion of the assessment, validation, and encoding.
Even if the families are already included in the Listahanan 3, Tadlas said they are not automatically considered as beneficiaries of DSWD's social protection programs.
"Ang pag-generate sa data tumong makita kung kinsa ang pinakakabos, kung aha sila. I-share dayon ni sa local government units, national government agencies, ug civil society organizations kung duna sila'y mga social protection programs. Aron maka-identify sila sa potential beneficiaries," Tadlas added.
(The data generated will only determine the poorest households and where they are located. The data will be shared with local government units, national government agencies, and civil society organizations if ever they have social protection programs. So they can also identify their potential beneficiaries)
