DEPARTMENT of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-10) on Wednesday disbursed P83.7 million for the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) to almost 14 million families including the 1,464 beneficiaries in Camiguin for the program's second tranche implementation (SAP 2), in a press statement Wednesday.
With Communications Sec. Martin Andanar during press briefing, DSWD national spokesperson Dir. Irene Dumlao said there will be no third tranche for the said program since there are only two tranches provided under Bayanihan I.
"Those who have not yet received the second tranche, we are re-processing their restricted transactional accounts because of data quality issues," said Dumlao.
Under Bayanihan II, a mandate to provide emergency subsidy and other services and programs to low-income families in granular lockdown areas, families not given assistance under SAP 1 and 2, and undocumented overseas Filipinos who have returned to the country, according to Dumlao.
In Camiguin, DSWD-10 has already disbursed P8,784,000 or 79.18 percent completion of the 1,849 clean list of SAP 2 beneficiaries of which 225 are from Catarman, Guinsiliban (303), Mahinog (349), Mambajao (514) and Sagay (73).
As of November 10, there is only one confirmed COVID-19 case in the province and is currently placed at Mahinog municipal isolation unit.
There are 443 persons with a history of travel or COVID-19 exposure of which 366 are from Mambajao, 32 from Mahinog, 5 from Guinsiliban, 14 from Sagay, and 26 from Catarman. (Rechie Tolinero/PIA10)
