The Department of Trade and Industry announced that it would allow restaurants, eateries, and other similar establishments to operate under the condition that they would meet the necessary safety guidelines set forth by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases for areas under the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

Under the latest IATF resolution, restaurants, fast food chains, eateries, and other similar establishments in areas under modified general community quarantine can already accommodate dine-in customers at 50% operational capacity with strict observance of DTI guidelines.

DTI said on Sunday “As of this afternoon, guidelines have been updated allowing dine-in restaurants and food establishments in areas under MGCQ to operate effective June 1, 2020.”

For its part Cagayan de Oro Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) on its Facebook page said “We ask for the cooperation and understanding of the business community and the general public. The City Government in coordination with the DTI will continue to monitor establishments in order to ensure that these guidelines are strictly observed and complied with, failure to do so will merit the closures of your establishments.”
