A SENIOR citizen tricycle driver in Iligan City was arrested by authorities in connection with a statutory and qualified rape case last Thursday.
City Police Director Police Col. Dominador Estrada identified the suspect as Epaprodito Campaner, 62, married, and residing at Purok 9, Barangay Tambacan of the said city.
The suspect, who is the second most wanted person at the city level, was arrested in his residence by a tracker team of the said police station led by Police Lt. Nathaniel Arcamo.
The arresting group was armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Leonor Quinoñes of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 2, Carbide, Tubod, Iligan City dated April 11, this year.
The presiding judge recommended the suspect no bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Another arresting unit was Ipil municipal police station under the supervision of Police Major Xyronne Caronan.
The said arrest was made possible thru the help of the Barangay Intelligence Network.
The suspect is now under the custody of Iligan police for proper disposition and documentation.
