POLICE are now tracking down the suspects who robbed, almost simultaneously, two convenience stores in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City at past 12 midnight Tuesday.
Police Maj. Mario Mantalla Jr, Police Station 4 commander, identified the robbed establishments as the 7/11 convenience store located at JV Sereña street, and In and Out convenience Store situated at Macapagal Drive, Upper Carmen, this city.
The first store to be victimized was the 7/12 at 12:24.
Clint Jason Rivera, the duty cashier, told police investigators that the suspect who was armed with a gun entered the store and announced a hold-up.
The same suspect then forced Rivera to give all the cash from the drawer which she followed due to fear.
The cashier said a total of P10,000 cash were taken by the suspect before hurriedly leaving the area.
After 20 minutes, another call was received by the same police station informing them that an armed suspect took away their day's earnings of P10,000.
Duty cashier Shenna Marrie Sunio told authorities the suspect with a short firearm in his hand, carted away the money, and fled in an unknown direction.
It was not yet revealed whether authorities already have a lead to the said series of incidents.
However, Mantalla encouraged city residents to continuously feed essential information pertaining to this particular robbery incident.
