IN Kitao-tao, Bukidnon, a 43-year-old man was arrested for selling illegally a petroleum product Tuesday at 5 pm.
Police Colonel Jun Mark Lagare, Police Provincial Director of the said province, identified the suspect as Eleizer Ramoso Jr, single, and residing at Purok 10, Barangay Kahusayan of the said municipality.
The suspect’s companion a certain Ramonito Maningo who was also pointed by the police as the financier of the said hot product was able to evade the arrest.
The operation was jointly conducted by personnel of Regional Special Operation Unit-10 led by Police Jerick Jay Tingson, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Kitaotao Municipal police station.
Confiscated from the suspect were nine gallons of petroleum diesel, an improvised funnel, 220 liters empty steel barrel, and a P1,000 bill.
The suspect together with the confiscated diesel was brought to the Kitaotao police office for proper disposition.
Ramoso and Maningo will be facing a case of illegal selling of petroleum products under PD 1865.
