CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy was warmly greeted by outgoing predecessor Oscar Moreno upon the latter’s arrival at the city hall this morning.
Uy was also met with joyous cheers from several employees who waited for him in the lobby of the executive building.

At the Mayor’s office, he was welcomed by a teary-eyed Moreno. Just like two best friends who have not seen each other for a long time, the former hugged him for several seconds followed by resounding applause from those in the room.
Also present during the event were the majority of the newly elected and re-elected city councilors.
In a short speech, Moreno told employees, as well as the city officials present, to give Uy full support by doing their job well.
Moreno said the chief executive will never fulfill his promise to the people without the help of the members of the city council.
Meanwhile, Uy said he is grateful to the Kagay-anons for giving him a chance to serve as the city’s mayor.
He said what Moreno achieved for the good of the city was extraordinary.
“Ako kanang giila nga kalamposan ni Mayor Oca ug sa katawhan sa syudad. Lisud kana labwan hilabi na kung walay tabang sa katawhan ug sa city council,” Uy said.
After their talks, Moreno then symbolically turned over the city’s official seal followed by a photo opportunity.
At the send-off, Uy escorted Moreno to the ground floor then at the balcony the two hugged again before the latter rode his vehicle.
