A 38-YEAR-OLD construction worker was arrested by authorities for alleged child abuse and rape charges in Malaybalay City, Thursday morning
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspect as Kenith Reyes, single, and a resident of Purok-3, Barangay Alanib, Lantapan in Bukidnon province.
Police said the suspect was nabbed at Purok 5, Barangay 1 in the said city.
He was arrested under a warrant of arrest by personnel assigned at Malaybalay City Police Station led by Police Capt. Joseph Galupo.
Judge Isobel Barroso of the Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 8, Malaybalay City, recommended the suspect P200,000 for the child abuse case but he was not allowed to post a bail bond for the rape charge for the latter's supposed temporary liberty.
The accused is now in the custody of Malaybalay police for proper disposition.
