A former municipal councilor and now a candidate for a mayoral position in Lagonglong town in Misamis Oriental was arrested yesterday for estafa.
The suspect was identified as Danilo Gadrinab, a resident of Zone 2, Poblacion Lagonglong.
Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-10 arrested Gadrinab at his residence at about 9 pm.
The arresting team was armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Henry Damasing of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 24, Cagayan de Oro City.
The Judge recommended the suspect a P72,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
The said arrest was the result of the case filed by a certain Jesril Brion of Westwood Village, Carmen, this city.
Gabrinab is now under the custody of CIDG-10 for proper disposition.
