POLICE Regional Office-10 has arrested a total of 145 wanted individuals during the conduct of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations in Northern Mindanao recently.
The operations implemented 10 search warrants on Republic Act 9165 that resulted in the confiscation of more or less 29 grams of shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of P197,200.00.
Also, a total of 14 buy-bust operations were implemented resulting in the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs with an estimated value of P183,600.00.
Authorities also confiscated 11 firearms in the implementation of search warrants against several targets.
On September 30 at 12:30 pm, police arrested a certain Lilia Banalo, 51, manicurist, and residing at Purok 2, Barangay Sinagguyan, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.
Tagged by the police as the number 1 most wanted person at the provincial level for the crime of murder, the court did not allow the suspect to post bail.
On the same day, personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bukidnon nabbed a laborer and 8th most wanted person at the provincial level identified as Mequias Tamonan, 55, married of Purok 10, Barangay Sinayawan, Valencia City.
Tamonan is facing two counts of rape, a non-bailable offense.
Another suspect for frustrated murder, identified as Rene Yesores, and the second most wanted person at the city level, was also arrested. The court allowed him to put up a bail bond for his temporary liberty at P200,000.
Police Brigadier Gen. Lawrence Coop, PRO-10 regional director, commended the men and women of the Philippine National Police in the region.
He said the relentless efforts made by the operating team during the implementation of law enforcement operations are worthy of emulation.
“To the public, rest assured we will intensify our campaign against illegal drugs, wanted persons, and other illegal activities. This is very possible and achievable thru the active support of the community for a peaceful and progressive Northern Mindanao,” Coop said.
