By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent LIGHTNING struck and killed a woman and hurt her teenage son in Barangay Kabangasan, Balingoan, Misamis Oriental at around 4 pm Tuesday. Chief Insp. Salvador Ruzgal, Balingoan police chief, identified the woman as Julieta Amoguis, 53, and her son Lino Jr., 16. The younger Amoguis was rushed to the Talisayan Provincial Hospital. Ruzgal said the mother, who served as barangay health worker in Kabangalan,  was with her son inside their house during a thunderstorm on Tuesday afternoon when the lightning struck. Her husband Lino Sr. said his wife rushed into their house that afternoon because of the downpour. “Imbis mitago sila sa balay, mipaka na man hinoon ang kusog nga liti ug kilat,” he said.
