A MAN holding what appeared to be a toy gun robbed a convenience store in Ilaya, Carmen was arrested by the police on Saturday evening.
A police report revealed that before the arrest, the suspect victimized a Gram convenience store situated at Vamenta boulevard, in Barangay Carmen at about 8:24 pm.
The suspect then took all the sales money from the drawer amounting to P5,000 and hurriedly left the area riding a motorcycle XRM color black and white combination towards unknown direction.
Cagayan de Oro City police director Police Col. Aaron Mandia identified the suspect as Fulbert Angkahan, 30, single, and a resident of Zone 4, Barangay Kauswagan of the said city.
In an initial investigation, police said Angelyn Neones, the store's cashier narrated to them that the suspect just barged inside the establishment, pointed a gun on her, and declared a hold up.
The suspect, who just covered his face with towel then told her "ayaw pagsaba tulis ni kay kung magsaba ka pusilon ta ka."
Personnel from police station 4 led by Police Major Mario Mantalla, Jr., together with police station and other police units immediately conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspect. Hours later responding authorities nabbed Angkahan.
Recovered from the suspect were a plastic replica .45 caliber pistol, an XRM motorcycle 125 color white and black combination and a black helmet.
The suspect is now currently detained at Carmen police.
