A 28-year-old jeepney mechanic was arrested by authorities for raping his half-sister several times.
Police Capt. Julius Saluta identified the suspect only as Richard, a resident at Osmeña Street, Barangay 28, Cagayan de Oro City.
Saluta said the suspect actually made the victim his sex slave as he started abusing her when the latter was still in grade one.
He said when the mother of the child knew about the incident she immediately reported the matter to the police and filed a complaint.
The victim’s mother is the wife of the suspect’s biological father.
In an interview with the suspect, he said the first time it happened he said was when he so drunk and was high on drugs.
“Nagbasul ko sa akong gibuhat ug nag promise nga di ko na utrohon apan siya (victim) naman ang gakamang sa akoa mao tong sigi na dayon,” Richard said.
Saluta said they filed the case in October last year and the warrant was released yesterday.
Policemen assigned at police station 2 in Cogon served the warrant of arrest yesterday at 6 pm. Which was issued by Judge Evelyn Neri of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 19, dated, November 31, 2021.
The suspect is now behind bars at the said police station.
