SOME 433 public learners of two elementary schools in Barangays Pan-ay and Masabud on Monday received school and hygiene kits as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental.
The distribution of the said assistance started on Nov. 9, 2020 with the help of the village’s local government and the Sangguniang Kabataan officials.
The program is in partnership with Gitib Inc., and Consuelo Foundation together with the said two Barangays, Pan-ay and Masabud.
The SK of Barangay Pan-ay distributed back-to-school kits and hygiene kits as part of its “Werpang Kabataan Youth Project."
Gitib Inc, as the resource center for sustainable development, tapped local government units (LGUs) and youth council to discuss and take steps on issues and concerns, injustices and challenges that are affecting various groups and sectors in the community most especially the most vulnerable children and youth.
The back-to-school kits and hygiene kits for elementary learners were turned over by the CSO partners, November 7 at Working Congressman Community Center, Purok 3, Pan-ay, Clarin, Misamis Occidental.
“Wala namo damha na ang among damgo- nakab-ot gayud, said Pan-ay Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson Aljon Mariquit said.
Mariquit said the assistance will be a great help for the children and parents as it can be used for their modular classes.
"Ang akong pasalamat sa tanang mga tawo nga nahimo nga instrumento aron mamugna kini," said Mariquit.
Werpang Kabataan Youth Project is just one of the many programs of Barangay Pan-ay SK implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
