NORTHERN Mindanao Region 12 (NMR XII) Bagwis Dos on Sunday commemorated the 45th founding anniversary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles - Philippine Eagles, marking a significant milestone in the region's history.
The celebration coincided with the Republic of the Philippines Presidential Proclamation 600, which designates June 15 to 22 of each year as Philippine Eagles Week.
Across the nation and beyond, clubs and regions organized a variety of activities to strengthen bonds and promote camaraderie among members.
In line with the festivities, NMR XII introduced a range of exciting activities, including basketball, volleyball, and more.
The Bagwis Dos Region is home to several prominent clubs, such as Aghasa-a Eagles Club, Villa Anchor Eagles Club, Tagoloan Eagles Club, Tagoloan Lady Eagles Club, East Timbalo Eagles Club, Royal Knights Eagles Club, and Royal Knights Lady Eagles Club.
On June 16, the 2024 1st Governor's Cup basketball tournament reached its pinnacle, with the Royal Knights Eagles Club emerging victorious as the champions, defeating the Aghasa-a Eagles Club, who secured the first runner-up position.
Tagoloan Eagles Club claimed the second runner-up spot, while Villa Anchor Eagles Club finished as the third runner-up.
The competition concluded with a memorable Governor's Night at Sophie Red Hotel in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.
During the celebration, Regional Governor Eagle Eric Daabay emphasized the importance of upholding the commitment to serving the community with excellence.
He encouraged clubs to actively recruit new Eagle members and inspire others to contribute to the welfare of those in need.
In his address, Governor Daabay reiterated the motto of NMR XII - Bagwis Dos, "Ang katawhan Mao ang Bida," underscoring the central role of the people in shaping the region's future and fostering a spirit of unity and service among its residents.
