SURIGAO City — The consumers of Surigao del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Surneco) experienced another blackout in the entire city–due to some works of the company–here Sunday.
According to Engr. Narciso Caliao Jr., Surneco’s general manager, the shutdown was due to a series of repairs by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines for the Grid Operating and Management Program.
“Kini nga pagpalong magagikan sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines sumala sa ilang Grid Operating and Management Program kon GOMP sheduled shutdown alang sa ilang pagpahigayon sa mga mosunod nga trabahoon,” Caliao said.
However, small businesses and households here were affected by the shutdown.
“Sama sa naandan, ang sugang dagitab mobalik ra dayon sa wala nay dugang pang pahibalo inig kahuman sa maong mga nahisgutang trabahoon. Sa tanan nga maapektuhan, palihug na lang sa pagpangandam aron malikayan ang bisan unsang kadaot o disgrasya nga mahitabo,” He said.
