THE general assembly of the Cagayan de Oro Press Club re-elected Frank Mendez as its president during the election of the officers last Saturday.

Mendez settled at 3rd place with 57 votes tied with Froilan Gallardo from the general membership for the club’s 15-member board of directors.

While Cong Corrales, Editor-in-Chief of this paper, got 56 votes and was elected as Vice President for Print.

Allan Mediante got 45 votes and was re-elected as the Executive Vice President, Jao Gumapac, VP for Broadcast, and Hanny Pisos was elected as the club’s corporate secretary.

Gal Banaag got 40 votes was also retained as the club’s treasurer and Joey Nacalaban with 45 votes elected as auditor.

Other officers are Tony Albania, Amor Barlisan, including Gallardo, Joel Jacobo, Jigger Jerusalem, Nef Luczon, Annaliza Reyes, and Alwen Saliring.

This year’s election had 93 members cast their votes as announced by Herbie Gomez, the club’s past president and appointed as chairman of the three-man board of election.
