A 34-year-old suspect was arrested by authorities for illegal drug possession during a buy-bust operation last Thursday.
Police Col. Elias Hampac, the province’s police regional director, identified the suspect as Ernie Ubas alias ‘Boy,’ single, and a resident of Sitio Lumad, Barangay Poblacion, Mambajao of the said province.
Hampac said the suspect was arrested by personnel assigned at Mambajao Municipal Police Station led by Police Col. Romel Lampa Cena at Purok 3, Barangay Agoho of rhe saud town. at about 4:45 pm.
Confiscated from Ubas were 13 sachets containing a white crystalized substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P7,800, shabu paraphernalia, and personal belongings.
The arresting officers also found a driver’s license bearing the full name of the suspect with an address at Aluba Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City.
The suspect is temporarily detained by Mambajao police.
