OZAMIZ City Airport resumed its operations, starting Wednesday.
Philippine Airlines, starting August 19, will have its flights on Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedules while Cebu Pacific, starting August 20, will have its flights on Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday.
This, after President Rodrigo Duterte announced that Metro Manila and Cebu City will undergo General Community Quarantine (GCQ) starting August 19.
An agreement was made between the provincial government and the passenger carriers to implement schedules and to require locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to have a letter of acceptance from their respective local government unit aside from the travel authority and medical certificate.
Such is done so the LSIs could be accommodated at the provincial quarantine facilities.
Upon the resumption of flights at the Ozamiz Airport, Mayor Ando Oaminal reminded the public to follow safety protocols based on what President Duterte mandated and is implemented by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to fight against COVID-19.
