ZAMBOANGA City-- Government authorities have arrested two of the most wanted persons in a law enforcement operation here in Region 9, the police reported Thursday. Arrested were Lito Antonga, 33, the number 8 most wanted person in Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay and Jerome Medija, 45, the number 1 most wanted person in Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur. Insp. Dahlan Samuddin, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) information officer, said Antonga was arrested around 11 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Guling, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. Samuddin said Antonga is charged for the crime of frustrated murder and attempted murder before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 24 in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Samuddin said Medija was arrested around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Dicayas, Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte. He said Medija is facing charges for rape with no bail recommended before the RTC branch 22 in Pagadian City. pna
