By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent POLICE yesterday pressed charges against the driver of a truck that killed seven people and hurt four others on the highway in Cugman on Sunday night. His elder brother, who worked as truck aide, was also included in the complaint. Chief Insp. Evan Viñas, Cugman  police chief, said brothers Freddie and Felix Talisayan were charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, multiple physical injuries and damages to property before the City Prosecutor’s Office yesterday. Authorities also charged the truck driver with violation of RA 10586, the law against drunk driving. Freddie, 30, of Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental, drove the speeding red truck that rammed two motorcycles and a motorela in Cugman at around 9 pm Sunday. His brother Felix, 32, of Barangay Kapalili, Asuncion, Davao del Norte, served as his delivery helper. “Silang duha gyud atong gipasaka-an ug kaso tungod sa principle of conspiracy... Bahala na ang fiscal (prosecutor) unsa-on nila pag-resolve sa among sumbong,” Viñas said. Viñas said investigators found out that it was Felix, the helper, who first drove the truck from a garage in Purok 10, Tablon. A drunk Freddie, he said, replaced Felix on reaching the highway. “Si Freddie na dayon ang mipuli  pag-drive nga hubog. Ang duha klaro nga nag-conspire sila,” Viñas said. He said the families of the seven people who were killed and the four who were hurt on separate occasions on Sunday night were bent to pursuing the cases against the suspects in court.
