A 43-year-old farmer is now languishing in jail after he was arrested yesterday in connection with a rape charge.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspect as Alexander Yacapin, Sr., a resident of Barangay 5, Talakag of the said province.
He was arrested by members of the Talakag Municipal Police Station led by Police Maj. Dennis Rowell Flores together with the 1st Police Mobile Force Company and other units yesterday at 4:40 pm at his residence.
Yacapin, who was the 9th most wanted person at the municipal level, was granted to put up a bail bond amounting to P200,000.
Judge Richard Mordeno of the Regional Trial Court, Misamis Oriental 10th Judicial Region, Branch 22 Cagayan De Oro City dated August 27, 2019, issued the warrant of arrest.
The suspect is now under the custody of Talakag police for proper disposition.
