CLAVERIA town’s most wanted for rape has been arrested by authorities yesterday in connection to an attempted parricide case.
Police Col. Raniel Valones, Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Director, identified the suspect as Cerilo Cameros, 64, single, and a resident of Barangay Mat-i of the said town.
He was arrested by police personnel assigned at Claveria Municipal Police Station led by Police Maj. Ralph Santoluma in his house at 2:30 pm.
The arresting team was armed with a warrant of arrest for attempted parricide issued by Judge Nan Candida Casiño of the Regional Trial Court 10 Branch 17, Cagayan de Oro City dated May 30, 2022.
Casiño slapped the suspect with a bail bond amounting to P120,000 for his temporary liberty.
Aside from the parricide case, Cameros was also accused of rape which made him the number 1 most wanted person in the town, and the police are still waiting for another warrant of arrest.
