ROYAL Knights Lady Eagles Club held a special outreach program at Indahag Elementary School Habitat Campus in Cagayan de Oro City on August 29, 2024. This event was part of the club's celebration of its second anniversary, which took place on August 30, 2024.
The program brought together various clubs from the Northern Mindanao Region-Bagwis Dos to support local learners.
Around 280 students participated in the outreach program, where they received essential school supplies to aid their studies.
The event also featured a feeding program that provided nutritious meals for the children, ensuring they had both the tools and nourishment needed for learning.
Lady Eagle Llani Tan, president of the Royal Knights Lady Eagles Club, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.
She thanked the participating clubs, including the Royal Knights Eagles Club and the soon-to-be-chartered Cagayan de Oro Royal Knights Eagles Club on September 8, along with all their members for their support.
Governor Eagle Eric Daabay of NMR-12 Bagwis Dos also received appreciation for his contributions to the event.
Eagle Harold Santander, the officer-in-charge of the Royal Knights Eagles Club, was recognized for his leadership and commitment.
Mervinito Uba, the future president of the new club, and all the members were thanked for their involvement as well.
During the outreach program, students enjoyed a delicious meal of spaghetti with sliced bread and refreshing juices. This meal not only nourished the children but also created a joyful atmosphere for all attendees.
The distribution of school supplies was organized thoughtfully by the Royal Knights Eagles Club. Kindergarten students, along with those from Grade 1 through Grade 3, received supplies.
The CDO Royal Knights Eagles Club contributed biscuits, chocolate nips, and C2 juice, while the Royal Knights Lady Eagles Club provided the spaghetti and loaf bread.
Mr. Candolyn L. Quilit, the principal of Indahag Elementary School, expressed his sincere thanks to the donors.
He acknowledged the positive impact such support has on the students' education and overall well-being.
"The outreach program was a tremendous success, highlighting the importance of community involvement in education," said NMR-12 Bagwis Dos Governor Daabay.
He noted that it fostered a spirit of giving and collaboration among the clubs that participated.
RKEC OIC Eagle Santander said that as the Lady Eagles Club celebrates its second anniversary, this event serves as a reminder of its commitment to helping children in need.
"It shows how positive change can happen when communities unite to support their youth," said Santander.
