A 71-year-old grandfather in Iligan City is now in jail after he was arrested by the police for a child abuse case Monday, this week.
Iligan City Police Office Acting City Director, Police Col Reinante delos Santos, identified the suspect as Faustino Castillon a.k.a. ‘Noel Villacruz Castillon,’ married, self-employed, and a resident of Purok 1-C, Mimbalot, Barangay Buru-un of the said city.
It was learned from the police that Castillon has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 7610.

Judge Maximo Ratunil of the Regional Trial Court-Branch II, Iligan City, recommended the suspect post a bail bond of P80,000 for his temporary liberty.
The suspect is now temporarily under the custody of the said police office
pending the return of the warrant of arrest and the presentation to the issuing court.
