Egay Uy THE one-hour weekly radio program of the Roads and Traffic Administration and TF Hapsay Dalan over DxIM Radyo ng Bayan, anchored by Romy Capinpuyan, is regularly airing at 8 am, Tuesdays. The regular guests are Inday Golosino and Jason Adams Cambangay of the RTA-Education Unit, and yours truly.  RTA’s Engr. Oclarit sometimes makes himself available.  Lately, the voice of Apple Balibay of RTA-Education has been heard. Discussed are provisions of the Traffic Code of Cagayan de Oro, programs of the RTA and TFHD, and concerns of the public that are referred to the guests by the anchor person. We hope the listenership of this radio program will increase so we will be able to also increase public awareness of the current traffic situation of the city.

The city fiesta week saw the dedication of the employees of the Roads and Traffic Administration and their commitment to their jobs.  Aside from their regular rounds of duty, most of them they were also given tasks during the major activities such as the August 27 Higalas parade of floats and icons, the pyrotechnics display in upper Carmen, and the fiesta marathon to name some. Fatigue may have overtaken most of them but they still showed dedicated service without complaining and not minding the bashings, and the ill-motivated and irresponsible reports. Congratulations to the men and women of the RTA for a job well done!  Let’s continue to serve without complaining! (Lawyer Egay Uy is chairman of city hall’s Task Force Hapsay Dalan)
