Ordinance 14385-2022, approved by the city council in October, grants violators of traffic and parking rules, issued with Traffic Citation Tickets (TCT) last year and prior years, relief in a form of condonation of their penalties and administrative fines.

The RTA advised traffic violators who want to avail of the tax relief ordinance must secure a Certificate of Availment from the Office of the City Mayor. This certificate will then be submitted to RTA for the official withdrawal of the violation report.

Motorists issued a TCT this year have to pay in full before they can avail of the condonation, the RTA advised. Then, they will have to secure their Certificate of Traffic Violations and Billing from the RTA.

The Certificate of Availment and Certificate of Traffic Violations, and the receipt for full payment of 2022 TCT, if any, will be the basis for the City Treasurer’s Office to accept the payment. (CIO)
