By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent A MAN was crushed to death and another was badly hurt after they were ran over by a truck near the West City Central School on Masterson Ave. at around 6 am on Saturday.SPO3 Rolito Castillo identified the dead as 30-year old Erick Torabla of Zone 1, Barangay Lumbia.Castillo said Toralba was riding a motorycle driven by Juhney Jamilco, 32, who was rushed to the JR Borja Memorial Hospital for serious injuries. Toralba and Jamilco were returning to Lumbia from Carmen market when they collided head-on and were ran over by an Isuzu Elf truck with license plates KGY-218. Castillo said Toralba and Jamilco reeked of liquor at the time of the accident. Castillo said the driver, Danilo Abratiguin, came from Talakag, Bukidnon, and was bound to the Bulua market to deliver vegetables. The truck is owned by Gomer Lajero, of Purok 4, Barangay Dansolihon, this city. Police said Jamilco claimed that Toralba had a drink too many, and suddenly grabbed the motorcycle handlebar. “Ma-oy hinongdan nga didto sila nakapa-ingon nga truck nga ilang katagbo,” said Castillo. He said Abratiguin was still facing a complaint for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property despite Jamilco’s account.
