POLICE in Iligan City arrested a 36-year-old unemployed person for VAWC charge yesterday morning.
Police Col. Dominador Estrada, Iligan City Police Director, identified the suspect as Pabs Acsio, a resident of Purok-Santan Orellana, Barangay Tubod of the said city.
The suspect who was the subject of VAWC or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 9262, was arrested by Iligan police headed by Police Lt. Nathaniel Arcamo of Iligan City Police Station 4, at 10 am at Robinsons Parking Area located at Macapagal Avenue in Barangay Tubod of the same city.
Judge Leonar Quiñones of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 2, Iligan City, recommended the suspect post a bail bond of P72, 000 for his temporary liberty.
Acsio is now currently detained at the said police station for proper disposition.
