A 33-year-old laborer was arrested this morning by the police after violating the VAWC law.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspect as Joshua Nabora, single, and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Colonia of the said city.
He was arrested by personnel assigned at the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company Bukidnon led by Police Lt. Diore Ragonio together with Valencia City Police Station, Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Regional Special Operation Unit 10 at the former's residence at 9:15 am.
Nabora was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest in violation of Republic Act 9262 known as Violence Against Women and their Children or VAWC law issued by Judge Eldred Cole of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 45, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
The said Judge allowed the suspect to post a bail bond of P72,000 as bail bond for the latter's temporary liberty.
The suspect is now under the custody of Valencia police for proper disposition.
