MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano yesterday evening released another executive order that makes the wearing of face mask mandatory across the province.
Executive Order 2020-010 aligns with the advisory of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) which states that wearing face masks should be mandatory.

The EO came after he also clarified to the Department of Health-10 Director Dr. Adriano Subaan if is it necessary to wear a face mask of which the latter replied "yes."
Emano said they had a meeting yesterday with government agencies through the internet where he had the chance to clarify with the health department.
"Gihatagan ko'g chance nga makapangutana mao to ako gipangutana direkta kang DOH regional director Adriano Subaan bahin anang pag sul-ob sa face mask," Emano said over local radio here.
Emano admitted that he got confused about the guideline of the DOH that face mask is not mandatory and that those who should wear it are frontliners and those who have a cough.
When Subaan replied "Yes" that it is necessary to wear a face mask to help prevent Covid-19 infection, Emano immediately released the new order that all residents of the province are mandated to wear face mask upon leaving their houses.
The new EO emphasized that the wearing of face mask including home-made or improvised is mandatory in all public places including private-owned establishments and drug stores.
"Kinahanglan nata magsuot og face mask," said Emano.
Emano emphasized that Misamis Oriental has no Covid-19 positive case as of the moment.
He also reiterated that Misamis Oriental Task Force on Covid-19 is doing their best effort to help fight the contagion. (Shiela Mae Butlig)
