THE passengers who arrived in the city on May 19 with the 26-year-old male who tested positive for Covid-19 have not manifested symptoms of the disease, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya said this morning.
“Tanan co-passengers adtong taga Iligan naa sa atong (City Isolation Units). Wala'y gipakita nga signs and symptoms silang tanan,” he said.
Retuya added that since Sunday they have tested 10 individuals of the May 19 arrival including the health workers who transported the persons from Macabalan Wharf to the CIU.
“We are happy to announce na negative sila tanan,” he said.
As for the continuing active health surveillance in the city’s 80 barangays, Retuya said his teams have visited some 128,000 households as of May 29.
“Padayon ang teams sa pagsuyod sa kabalayan to monitor (acute respiratory illness) ug (influenza-like illness) aron atog mapa swab. Sa pagka karon wala pa kita'y nakita nga nagkumpol-kumpol,” Retuya said. (Cong B. Corrales)
