A total of P211,500 worth of illegal drugs have confiscated and 12 suspects have been arrested by authorities during a two-day series of raids in Misamis oriental towns.

The suspects are residents of Opol, Tagoloan towns, and Cagayan de Oro City.

Police Col. Robert Roy Bahian, provincial director, identified the first arrested suspects as Michael del Rosario aka “Macmac,” 20, a resident of Zone-3, Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City; and Rey del Rosario,19, a resident of Zone-1, Barangay Casinglot, Tagoloan.

The two were arrested last Wednesday at Zone 1B, Casinglot, Tagoloan at 1:30 am.

Recovered from their possession were five sachets of a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated worth of P10,900.

Five hours later another raid was conducted at Zone 8, Poblacion, Barangay Sta Cruz, Tagoloan of the said province.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Diana Rose Quidlat, 24, a resident of Zone-6, Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City; and Esdelyn Hindoy, 23, a resident of Purok-2C, Barangay Casinglot, Tagoloan.

Seized from them were 13 sachets of a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated total amount of P20,751, personal belongings and shabu paraphernalia.

The following day (March 5) another operation was made at Zone 1, Taboc, Opol town that led to the arrest of eight persons.

Police Major Evary Bacunawa, Opol Municipal police station chief  identified the suspects as Charlie Faith Entrampas,  25, a resident of Zone 1, Taboc of the said place;  Cesar Ian Caudor, 20, residing at Sitio Talisay, Luyong Bonbon, Opol; Placido Estabas,19, a resident of Camp Evangelista, Patag; Jerry Variacion, 20, a resident of Camaman-an; Romeo Adino, Jr, 22 of San Juan 1, Lapasan; Dennis Dormido Dagoplo, 21, of Barangay 35; Richie Anero,34, a resident of Gumamela Extention, Carmen; and KC Toquero,  20, all residing at Cagayan de Oro City.

Recovered from the suspects were illegal drug paraphernalia such as rolled paper as improvised pipe, semi half-folded piece of paper, crumpled paper, unsealed transparent plastic sachet, folded piece of paper, and 2 lighters.

The inventories, taggings, markings, and further documentation of confiscated pieces of evidence, were witnessed by Barangay Officials and media representatives.

Bahian, commended the operating personnel for a job well done and encouraged them to continue their unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs within the province and keep on reinvigorating its anti-criminality campaign.
