CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — More than 1,500 residents availed themselves of free healthcare and social services during the Northern Mindanao leg of the “LAB for All” caravan led by First Lady  at  on Tuesday.

The initiative, which stands for “Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot para sa Lahat,” brought together national government agencies, doctors, and volunteers to deliver free laboratory tests, medical consultations, medicines, and other forms of assistance to residents from various barangays in the city.

During the opening program, Araneta-Marcos said the caravan seeks to humanize public service by directly addressing the everyday struggles of Filipino families.

“LAB stands for ‘Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot para sa Lahat.’ It is a flagship healthcare caravan project of First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos that brings free laboratory tests, medical consultations, medicines, and other government services closer to communities nationwide,” she said.

“Whenever LAB for All goes around the country, I always ask our team the same question: What do our countrymen need? Because behind every request is a real story,” she added.

She noted that many Filipinos often set aside their own healthcare needs in favor of basic family priorities such as food and education, making outreach programs vital for underserved communities.

The First Lady arrived together with  to lead the activity, which drew long queues of residents seeking medical attention and assistance.

Doctors and healthcare workers from the , along with private and public sector partners, provided additional support during the caravan.

Several government agencies also participated in the event, including Pag-IBIG Fund, Department of Agriculture, Department of Science and Technology, PhilHealth, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

The  Northern Mindanao also distributed wheelchairs, nebulizers, and “charitimba” buckets containing rice and grocery items to selected beneficiaries.

Quoting President , Araneta-Marcos urged Filipinos to continue practicing service and solidarity.

“Lagi nating mahalin ang Pilipinas, lagi nating mahalin ang Pilipino,” she said.
