IN just a day two persons, one a sales boy at a lechon manok outlet attendant, were arrested by authorities in a separate buy-bust operation in Bukidnon yesterday.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspects as Michael Ray Domingo, residing at Zone 3, Poblacion, Valencia City; and Joebert Lawas, 29, single, a sales boy, and a resident of Zone 2, Minsamungan, Quezon; both of the said province.
Domingo was the first to be arrested by a joint operation conducted by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-10 together with Valencia City Police Station (VCPS), Regional Intelligence Unit-10, and Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (BPIU) at about 3:12 pm at Purok 3, Poblacion, Valencia City.
While Lawas was arrested by police elements assigned at Cabanglasan Municipal Police Station (CMPS) led by Police Capt. Joseph Galupo together with Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RDEU-10) in a buy-bust operation at Purok 10, Poblacion Cabanglasan at about 10 pm.
Recovered from the possession of Domingo were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated market value of P34,000, and buy-bust money of P500.
While from the possession of Lawas were a rectangular shape heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated worth at P500, and buy-bust money of P500.
Domingo is now temporarily detained at PDEA RO-X Detention Cell for booking and documentation. While Lawas was under custody by Cabanglasan police.
A case for violation of RA 9165 known as anti-illegal drug law is being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
All the operations were being witnessed by barangay officials and media representatives.
