TWO suspects carted away more than a million pesos in cash in a daring daylight robbery of a meat shop in Iligan City at 10 am, today.

Police Staff Sgt. Elmond Monteron, assigned at Iligan City Police Station 5, said on his report that the suspects just barged inside Monterey meat shop, located along the national highway in Barangay Saray of the said city, and announced a hold-up.

Armed with .45 caliber pistols, the suspects then took away all the money from the cash register with a total amount of P1,200,00.

They then fled the area in an unknown direction.

Witnesses told police that the suspects’ firearms had silencers attached to them.
