THREE government employees and a barangay councilor were killed when a boom truck they were riding fell off a cliff in Quezon, Bukidnon at 1:30 pm, yesterday.

In a police report, it was learned that the incident transpired while in Barangay Linabo of the said town.

Police Major Noel Cano, Quezon Municipal Police Station, identified the fatalities as Ronald Rene Pantua of legal age, married, a resident of Barangay Paitan; and Ricardo Saison, 56, married, residing at Purok 3, Barangay Mibantang.

The other fatalities were Alfredo Villamero, 42, married of Barangay 9, Poblacion; and Eduardo Sereno, Jr. of legal age, married, a barangay councilor, and a resident of Purok 1, Linabo, all of Quezon of the said province.

One of their companions, Ronald Ratunil, 43, married, a resident of Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Salawagan of the same municipality, was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries. He is now under treatment.

Pantua, Saison, Villamero, and Ratunil are all connected at the said local government as job orders employees.

The incident started when a boom truck with plate number MAG-1089 owned and registered under the name of the local government of Quezon, Bukidnon, and driven by Pantua, lost control and fell off the cliff.

The said truck had just delivered culverts at Sitio Bagong Lipunan of the said barangay and was heading back to the municipal hall.
