BRIGADIER General Michele B. Anayron Jr., commander of the 403rd Brigade based in Malaybalay City, will officially assume leadership of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division at Camp Edilberto Evangelista in Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City, on January 28.

Anayron replaces Major General Jose Maria Cuerpo II, who retired on January 17.

The Change of Command ceremony will be presided over by Lieutenant General Roy M. Galido, commanding general of the Philippine Army.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved Anayron’s appointment on January 20.

The transition follows a brief interim command by Brigadier General Consolito Yecla, who served as the division commander while awaiting the President’s decision.

A graduate of the Philippine Military Academy’s ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ class of 1992, Anayron has earned a reputation for military excellence and dedication to peace and security.

Under his leadership since January 23, 2023, the 403rd Brigade consistently demonstrated high performance in its operations.

The ceremony at Camp Evangelista will mark a pivotal moment for the 4th Infantry Division as Anayron takes the helm, continuing its legacy of service to the region.
