A 42-year-old person and his female companion were arrested by anti-drug authorities during a buy-bust operation in one of the barangays in Bukidnon, Thursday, this week.

Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Provincial Police Director, identified the suspects as Ronelio Germinal, single, residing at Purok 10; and Eva Libres, 40, married, of Purok 17, both of Barangay Damilag, Manolo Fortich of the said province.

Lagare said that personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-10 Bukidnon, together with Manolo Fortich police, arrested the suspects at Purok 9 of the said barangay at 6:50 pm.

Confiscated from the suspects were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated market value of P20,400, four pieces live bullets, P1,600 cash; and some personal belongings.

A Toyota Sedan color red used by the suspects was also impounded to be included in the confiscated pieces of evidence.

The suspects are now under the custody of the PDEA-10 detention cell for booking and documentation.

A case for violation of RA 9165 is being prepared for filing against them in court.
