Let’s crush together year 1: ‘Crushing bottles, Building future’

The Rotary Club of Midsayap conducted an activity Let’s Crush Together Year 1 with the theme “Crushing Bottles, Building Future!” under the Supporting the Environment Area of Focus. The project is incredibly significant, beneficial, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. As these bottles will be crushed and mixed with sand and cement to create hollow blocks and bricks to be used in any construction. Since empty bottles and plastics are frequently abandoned in yards or just thrown away, these can contribute considerable pollution and sickness.

The club devises a strategy to address this issue and create a cleaner atmosphere. The club began collecting empty bottles and plastics from various locations, determining that the bulk of their discarded items were what we needed. In fact, several Rotarians supported the concept of this activity, allowing their clients to bring empty bottles as payment for their professional fees and other services. This initiative makes a significant contribution to the community, not just in terms of a cleaner environment, but also as a community-wide effort
