CAGAYAN de Oro’s George Arsenal has once again made waves on US soil, this time with a remarkable achievement, securing triple gold medals in the 2024 USTKD Florida State Championships held in Florida, USA on April 27, 2024.
He all swept the gold medals in the master division namely in individual poomsae and sparring and pair poomsae.
The 47-year-old Kagay-anon came more prepared and surpassed his previous campaigns where his last was in the 2023 Sunshine State Game Masters 1 Division in the same state.
“I was well prepared and disciplined. Do push-ups, jog and trained in the dojo,” said Arsenal.
The recent tournament was his most major tournament he joined ever in many tournament in the US and it is next to the US National Championship.
“You cannot compete in the national championship if you’re not a gold medalist in the state championship,” he said.
While Arsenal has not yet confirmed his participation in the national championship, his rigorous training speaks volumes.
“I will inform all if I am set to play. As of now, I will enjoy the recent achievement I had,” said Arsenal.
Among his notable wins in the US were his double gold finish in the 13th International Open Friendship Taekwondo Championships in Michigan and 2022 Florida Open International Online Taekwondo Championships.
