Complete details: In a Facebook post, user We Are One Pilipinas posted a Twitter screengrab and captioned with: “BBM: No support from ABS and GMA but WE have social media.”
“The reason why there is a need for bloggers to have access to information direct from the Palace is that mainstream media has never (well, except for a very few far in-between times) given PRRD and BBM a fair shake.”
Why we fact check this: This post is skewed in its premise because Philippine Journalism reports on newsworthy events whether it is in a positive or negative view. It has no choice as it needs to report the news without fear or favor. Bloggers on the other hand can post anything they personally deem interesting.
