SENATE bet Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson on December 27 assured to send his team here in Cagayan de Oro to conduct study on the river basin of Cagayan River to stop flooding issue here.
Singson is present here in the city where he conducted a press conference and met with Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy.
One of Singson’s concern in his visit is the protection of environment and top of his list is how to protect the Cagayan de Oro river basin.
“Ipapadala ko yong team ko dito, pag-aaralan (flood control),” said Singson.
He said he can do the helping if the government would also allow him. He encouraged everyone not to cut trees as it is the main reason of easy flooding according to Singson.
“Tutulong ang gobyerno, tutulong din ang taong bayan,” said Singson.
Meanwhile, he also encouraged people of Cagayan de Oro to go direct from any cooperatives, Local Government Unit and Transport groups to avail of his E-vehicle and motorcycle loan to uplift livelihood of transport sectors here.
He said he is offering his 28 seater electric vehicle for a loan as long as there is a cooperative and local government.
“Kailangang may hahawak na entity na mag ko-collect sa bayad,” said Singson.
