RHOEL Chavez Condeza has refuted allegations linking him to the spread of fake social media pages, calling the accusations false and unfair.
Condeza took issue with a recent article in Gold Star Daily, which, though not mentioning his full name, he believes clearly described him.
The report, written by Mary Angelica Amerkhan, cited an anonymous source identified as ‘Liz,’ who claimed that a certain ‘Condeza,’ a city hall employee and former political campaign videographer, might be involved in creating fake pages.
Bothered by the allegations, Condeza said he was flooded with messages from friends who sent him links and copies of the article.
“Naay nag-send og news article nga naay ‘Condeza’ unya nag pusot-pusot na ba. Mao to pagbasa nako, natingala ko,” he said.
He further questioned the credibility of the report, saying the writer relied on an anonymous source and failed to seek his side of the story.
“Nag mention-mention man sila sa akong pangalan unya na describe ra ba kaayo ko,” he added.

Condeza, a former contributor of photographs to Gold Star Daily, expressed disappointment over the publication of what he described as baseless claims.
“Sayang ang image sa Gold Star nga masagulan ug mga in-ana (hearsay). Dili man ko mamersonal. Ang ako lang nga maundang lang nang in-ana. Wala sad ko gi-approach ni Mary,” he said.
According to Condeza, Amerkhan did not reach out to him before publishing the story.
Amerkhan sought a comment from former city hall spokesperson Maricel Rivera only after the article had been published. Rivera said she declined to comment since the story had already been posted.
In response to the accusations, Condeza has filed a complaint with the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit and has recorded a police blotter at Police Precinct 1.
“Ako ning gabuhaton kay dili sya insakto,” he said, adding that he is now consulting with his lawyer.
He added: “Kay di sad ko gusto madamay ang mga tarong.”
Attempts to reach Amerkhan for comment were unsuccessful.
