A TOTAL of P170,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from a welder during a buy-bust operation conducted by Quezon police operatives in Bukidnon yesterday evening.
Provincial Police Director Jun Mark Lagare identified the suspect as Rodel Caparida, married, and a resident of Purok 12, Busco, Butong, Quezon of the said province.
He was arrested by personnel assigned at Quezon Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Noel Cano, together with the Bukidnon Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Bukidnon 2nd Police Mobile Force Company at Balangay 4A Poblacion of the said town at 7:30 pm.
Taken from the suspect were 11 sachets containing alleged shabu weighing 25 grams, 20 pieces of caliber .38 cartridge cases, shabu paraphernalia, and some personal belongings.
The suspect is now under the custody of Quezon police.
