AT Don Carlos, Bukidnon. A 67-year-old businesswoman and her live-in partner died on the spot after two still unidentified suspects shot them, yesterday at 9:40 am.
Police Maj. Patrick Castro, Don Carlos Municipal Police Station officer-in-charge, identified the victims as Tessie Bernadez, a resident of Barangay Kiara; and Jolito ‘Tata’ Bizon, residing at Purok 8, both of Barangay San Nicholas of the said town.
The victims sustained gunshot wounds on their heads that resulted in their instantaneous death.

According to a police report, Bizon, aside from gunshot wounds on the head, was also stabbed four times by one of the suspects.
It was learned that the victims were inside a tricycle going to Valencia City purposely to buy some supplies for their bakery business.
Upon reaching Purok 8, Barangay Calao-Calao particularly on Moleta bridge, two motorcycle-riding gunmen overtook and shot them once to stop them.
The one riding on the back then disembarked, approached the victims, and forcibly took the sling bag from the possession of Bizon before going back to their ridden motorcycle.
The driver of the said motorcycle also disembarked and went near the victims and shot them several times to the head before stabbing Bizon multiple times in the different parts of his body.
People in the area who witnessed the incident, then rushed the victims to Bukidnon Provincial Hospital in Maramag of the said province only to be declared dead upon arrival.
Personnel at the said station conducted a hot pursuit operation for the arrest and identification of the suspects.
