THE 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary was marked by a special event titled “Araw ng Parangal at Pasasalamat sa Natatanging Linkod Kawani ng Hubong Katihan ng Pilipinas” at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The event, which was streamed through Video Teleconferencing (VTC) nationwide, recognized the outstanding contributions of Civilian Human Resources (CivHR) from the Army’s 4th Infantry Division (4ID).
During the ceremony, two CivHR members were acknowledged for their exceptional performance.
Thea Francesca V. Tabudlong, an Administrative Officer II assigned at the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G3, 4ID, received the “Natatanging Linkod Kawani 2023” award for her extraordinary dedication and ethical conduct.
Julieta S. Mama, a Psychologist I at Camp Evangelista Station Hospital (CESH), 4ID, was lauded for obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology majoring in Clinical Psychology.
This achievement has enhanced her skills and expertise, allowing her to provide high-quality service to the public.
4ID Commander, Major General Jose Maria R Cuerpo II, along with other key officers, presented the Plaque of Recognition to the deserving awardees.
Additionally, Dr. Analyn Sevallos-Uy, a newly hired Dentist assigned to the Dental department at CESH, 4ID, took the oath of office, administered by MGen Cuerpo II.
In his keynote speech, Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido expressed gratitude for the unwavering commitment and valuable contributions of CivHR.
He recognized their vital role in the success and achievements of the Philippine Army, emphasizing that this recognition signifies the elevated standards of PA CivHR.
“This awarding event manifests one very simple thing that we have seen all these years: that there is a great improvement in our civil service,” Lt. Gen. Galido commented.
Major Gen Cuerpo II commended the awardees for their exceptional accomplishments and encouraged them to serve as inspirations to others within the Philippine Army.
“To the awardees, congratulations for a job well done, and may you become an inspiration and will always be an inspiration to others as we continue to achieve more, and may you sustain the same grit in all our endeavors,” he said.
While the military personnel serve as the visible face of the nation's defense, the CivHR, often referred to as the Army's “Institutional Memory,” work diligently behind the scenes.
They provide crucial administrative support, medical and allied services, technical expertise, financial services, research assistance, and communication support to the uniformed personnel, enabling the efficient fulfillment of the Army’s missions.
