By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent  NATIONAL Police Director General Ronald “Bato”dela Rosa yesterday reiterated his warning against scalawags in uniform: “Ayaw gyud mo ug binu-ang, kay magbinu-ang gani mo, bantay lang mo!” Dela Rosa said this even as he reported that the National Police’s “Oplan Tokhang” campaign has already resulted in a 49-percent reduction in the country’s crime volume since President Duterte assumed office. “Dili kita  magpapilde sa gira batok sa mga drug lord. Pipila ra kini sila, is that clear?” he told his men as he graced the 115th anniversary of  the police service at Camp Alagar. Dela Rosa said he was disappointed because some police officials and their subordinates were receiving money from groups behind illegal drugs and illegal gambling. In Luzon and Cebu, he said, it has become “normal” for policemen to receive money from groups behind illegal  activities. Dela Rosa said he would not hesitate to boot out from the National Police “protectors” of illegal  activities. “Nagpakamaray na kita sa pag-serbisyo,  unya na-ay atong pipila ka mga kauban nga naghugaw-hugaw sa atong organization,” dela Rosa said. Dela Rosa also repeated his claim that he was offered millions of pesos in bribe but he turned it down. “Wala nako dawata kay mahikot akong duha ka kamot sa illegal, ug dili nako maka-operate,” he claimed. Meanwhile, dela  Rosa announced that the police would soon launch a massive campaign against illegal gambling operations after its war on illegal drugs.
