AUTHORITIES arrested a 29-year-old individual who went amok at 4:30 pm yesterday. Later at the police station, the person yielded two sachets of suspected in a body search.
Police Col. Dominador Estrada, Iligan City Police Office director, identified the suspect as Macaraya Bora, single, and a resident of Barangay Kiaodab, Maguing, Lanao del Sur.
It was learned that prior to the arrest, a crew at a 7/11 convenience store located along Tubod highway in the said city called up the police informing them that a certain person went berserk in their store.
Immediately, responding policemen proceeded to the said place and arrested the suspect.
The same police personnel seized a 12-inch dagger from the possession of Bora.
At the police station, and as a usual procedure, Patrolman John Carlo Tayanes conducted a body search of the suspect and found the said suspected illegal drugs with an improvised tooter (drug paraphernalia) inside the latter’s pocket.
The estimated street value of the seized contraband was P1,360.
Bora is now temporarily detained at the said police station’s mini-cell.
